Pricing Programs
PURPOSE: Build reusable manufacturer-level pricing rules, assign them to customers, and apply them to quotes in bulk.
PATH:
- Inventory > Pricing Programs
- Customer > Pricing tab
- Quote > Extended Menu > Apply Pricing Program
For per-item customer pricing, see Set Up and Manage Customer Specific Pricing.
Overview
Create and Manage a Program
Create a program
- Go to Inventory > Pricing Programs.
- Create a new program and enter a name.
- A name is required. Duplicate names are blocked.
- Save. The program appears in the list immediately.
Add manufacturers and rules
- Open a program from the list.
- Search for and add a manufacturer.
- Each manufacturer can appear once per program.
- Matching is exact. If a manufacturer appears under different names across masters, add each variant separately.
- Select a pricing rule and enter a percentage value:
Rule Calculation X% off MSRP MSRP × (1 − X%) X% off Price Price × (1 − X%) Cost + X% Cost × (1 + X%) - Save.
- Rules can be edited or removed after saving.
Copy a program
- From the Pricing Program list, select the program to copy.
- Go to the Extended Menu > “Copy Program“.
- The copy appears as a new independent program; it is not auto-assigned to any customer.
- Edits to the copy do not affect the original.
- Rename and modify as needed.
- Save.
Assign Programs to Customers
Add a program
- Go to Customer > Pricing tab.
- Add the program. The same program can be assigned to multiple customers.
Set priority ranking
When multiple programs are assigned, set the rank order. Rank 1 applies first.
Open a program
From the Pricing tab, click into any linked program to view or edit its rules without leaving the customer record.
Apply to a Quote
Apply the program
Applying a program reprices matched line items only — no items are added or removed from the quote.
- Go to Quote > Extended Menu > Apply Pricing Program.
- Select a program from the customer’s assigned programs.
- Q360 reprices each line item whose manufacturer matches the program using the assigned rule. Unmatched items are unchanged.
- A summary shows how many items were repriced and how many were unmatched.
Coexistence with Customer Specific Pricing
Customer Specific Pricing continues to apply automatically as usual. Pricing Programs only act when triggered from Quote > Extended Menu > Apply Pricing Program.
When applying, Q360 asks: “Overwrite ‘Customer Pricing’ if applicable?”
- No — items with an existing Customer Specific Price keep it; the program applies only to the rest.
- Yes — the program overrides all matched items, including those with a Customer Specific Price.
Items with no matching manufacturer are never affected by either choice.
Permissions
- PRICEPROGRAM (view, create, edit, delete) — access and manage pricing programs.
- CUSTOMER (edit) — assign programs to customers on the Pricing tab.
