Q&A:
Q1: Where can I find the One Dashboard?
A1: The One Dashboard is located under the Executive section of the Dashboards main menu. If you do not see it here, reach out to your administrator to grant you the proper system permission.
Q2: Our PM’s often move End Dates out to the future. I want to evaluate Projects based on the Original End Date. I s there a field that can be used for that purpose?
A2: The modifiable User6 field would be ideal to track Original End Date. Another option is to create a History trigger which will also track it on the Project History grid, allowing you to see each change to End Date.
Q3: Is it best practice to line up Labor Masters and Categories with the Employee Labor Type?
A3: A Labor Type is 1:1 per individual while Labor Masters are many to one. A Labor Type Installer may also work on Rack Build / Rough / Final.
Q4: What is the Forecast Prob % on an Opportunity?
A4: Forecast Closed and Forecast Prob % are advanced Sales management fields used for “gut feel” and are for reporting purpose only. These are manual entry fields.
Q5: We use a lot of sub-contractors on projects. How do we assign tasks to sub-contractors?
A5: It’s best to create UserIDs for Subcontractors and assign Tasks to them. You can create a UserID for each Subcontractor or you may create a general “Subcontractor” UserID.
Q6: Do I have to look through all the Employee records to see which is feeding the Labor #?
A6: Yes, upon setup. These should not change once established – Labor Type by location
